Well, I remember when 64 east ended at the Ward's Corner Giant.  There was a really, really cool ramp onto Tidewater Drive South we'd use to get to our friends' Tidewater Shores apartment. We called it the "space ramp" and as a young driver, often somewhat altered, it was really, really fun to drive. At the time we didn't know and wouldn't have cared that Tidewater Shore was Section 8, and it took me a while to figure out what had happened when I returned twenty five years later...

With the General Assembly trying to ram more taxes and tolls down our throats, and the cities pushing us over the edge with ever increasing property taxes, maybe it's time to start hitting back.

The following is a link that gives the actual average salaries that are being paid in each MSA. Instead of trying to use some generic website like Salary.com to figure out wages and raises, use these charts to prepare for your next review.

Here is a nice chart of current migration trends for VA.

And a blog article that discusses these trends.
