That's pretty lame. It should have been relatively easy for all of the top contenders to get the required signatures considering that it's only around 100 signatures per county and most of it could be done in just a few. It always got done in the past. Bottom line, they just didn't try and decided to spend their money and time in other states hoping Virginia would change the rules to suit them. There's already a lot of talk from legislators to do just that. What a shame, if these guys can't be assed to reach out to Virginians, why should they deserve to get on the ballot?

GE paid for their tax breaks to the tune of 40 million dollars in lobbying last year. GE employs folks from congressional tax writing committees, the IRS and treasury. If you happen to work in tax policy making, doing favors for GE means when you retire you'll be guaranteed a fat no-work job with killer salary and benefits at GE.

What the hell guys? Republicans have been in power in the House for a quarter of a year and the economy is still in the toilet, job growth is dismal, we're still in a recession, deficit through the roof, etc. Why isn't the economy fixed yet? The only interesting thing they have accomplished is making it so that coffee served in the congressional coffee shop is now serving the brown stuff in styrofoam cups. Oh and recently one republican house rep resigned after getting busted trolling for trannies on craigslist.

It came today. Its a proform 800 HR elliptical trainer and its all put together properly but the central bar which the handlebars are connected to seems to shake about quite a lot - my husband says it probably needs to move a bit and looking at videos of other proform cross trainers and the bar does seem to move quite a lot but my last one - different make only did that cos I had washers wrong - then it fell apart so I'm worried.
Call the customer service number and describe the issue.

Saying that Sarah Palin's crosshairs made that nutjob shoot all of those people is illogical. That would be like saying, "the train engineer blew the horn and then my cat threw up; therefore, train horns make my cat sick."
It depends on who you are talking to. Yea, most of us rational people just over look it but some folks who are mentally instable delve on things. We have all been in fights at one point in our lives, usually when we were really young, and should know all to well how some bad language starts some unpleasant crap.

Laws only affect those inclined to follow them, those with a propensity to violate them will do so without regard for the circumstance or consequence of any violation.
That is a good point to make. IN the UK, their politicians are seriously considering passing law to change the way kitchen knives are made to prevent death from violence. It's sick, the instrument of violence isn't the issue. The violence itself is the issue. It's a social problem and we need to look at it as such. They have banned everything you can think of and they still have the same problems we have to contend with.
